The Putz in the White House Does It Again

The Guy-Currently-Residing-In-The-White-House issued an Executive Order (You know, the thing that gets Republicans’ panties in a bunch when a Black guy does it) on Friday,

temporarily halting a U.S. refugee program and indefinitely suspending admission of Syrian refugees, and issuing 90-day restrictions that could affect people from seven predominantly-Muslim nations.

As NBC reported:

The State Department in a statement on Friday said it is working with the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services to put Trump’s executive order into effect. And while no particular religion is mentioned, the order specifically identifies “those who would place violent ideologies over American law.”

Now get this part:

“In addition, the United States should not admit those who engage in acts of bigotry or hatred (including ‘honor’ killings, other forms of violence against women, or the persecution of those who practice religions different from their own) or those who would oppress Americans of any race, gender, or sexual orientation,” the order says.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. You probably just envisioned plane loads of Republicans being flown off into the sunset, never to be seen again.

gop on the plane

Alas my friends, ’tis not to be; we’re still stuck with the “American Taliban”. The  description above is Republicans’ thinly-veiled code for, (goes to a whisper)… MUSLIMS.

strandedThe putz currently residing in the White House had no plan, however; now travelers with visas or permanent residents with green cards are stranded in transit to the U.S. along with refugees. From the Los Angeles Times:

An undetermined number of longtime U.S. residents have been stranded overseas as a result of President Trump’s executive order temporarily blocking visas from seven countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

All visa holders from those seven countries are now barred entry to the U.S., including lawful permanent residents, also known as green card holders, people with U.S. work visas and other types of visas, according to a senior U.S. immigration official.

NBC reports:

The State Department and Customs and Border Patrol on Saturday were still devising the formal rules for who is eligible for waivers — such rules were not written up before the executive order was implemented.

The Trump administration also has yet to issue guidance to airports and airlines on how to implement the executive order. “Nobody has any idea what is going on,” a senior Homeland Security official told NBC News.

In addition, the order applies to both refugees who are still “in transit” and U.S. green card holders from the affected Muslim-majority countries currently overseas, a senior administration official said. Those people would also need to apply for a waiver if they want to return to America, the official added.

The official said it would have been “reckless and irresponsible” to issue guidelines before the executive order was signed because of security reasons.

Huh? These fools are even too inept to cover their ineptitude. Paul Ryan, who never seems to have his male parts with him when he’s around Trump, said in a statement:

“Our number one responsibility is to protect the homeland… President Trump is right to make sure we are doing everything possible to know exactly who is entering our country.”

Because spending 1-2 years vetting each and every refugee, as we have for 30 years, is just too laissez-faire an attitude. Of course (SURPRISE!), Ryan didn’t always support the ban:

But The-Guy-Currently-Residing-In-The-White-House isn’t worried about ALL potential terrorists. In a flagrant “fuck you” to America, he has NOT banned travel to the U.S. from terrorist inhabited countries where he does business:

Because as we all know, someone crazy enough to put explosives in his underwear could never think of flying to Saudi Arabia AND THEN to America. Sheesh, get real!
