Michele Bachmann, You’re an Idiot

Michele Bachmann, the woman God pranked by telling her to run for President, sees the hand of God in Donald Trump’s election. Right Wing Watch reports:

lunatic-bachmann Bachmann said that during and prior to the election, prayer warriors were spread all across the country and tasked with offering up “very specific” prayers “for specific states, for specific counties, for specific percentages in cities that we needed to have” and God delivered.

“We saw the Lord answer so specifically that only the hand of God could do that,” she said. “Let’s pray and join and ask the Lord that godly believers would be put in these key sensitive positions. People that the Lord will use for blessing for the United States and for the world. This was the number one story of 2016: God answering the prayers of his people.”

Think about that: “God’s hand” was “punishing us” when he put a true Christian in the White House, not once, BUT TWICE, who saved the economy, got people back to work, used diplomacy before weapons, and governed FOR ALL of the American people. Then when IDIOTS elect a serial adulterer/sexual predator/racist/bigot/misogynist/fraud/tax cheat/small-handed-whiny-boy, who calls the sacrament “his little cracker”, THAT’S God answering their prayers.

You’re an IDIOT, Bachmann. It is you and your fellow Phony-Christian/Right-Wing-Nut-Job pals that are driving people away from organized religion. You wouldn’t recognize the hand of God if he punched you in the face with it.

Nominee Trump Proves Conservatives Really Have No “Values”

Right Wing Hypocrites Rally Around Trump

Liberals, Progressives, and Independents have always known that Conservatives’ constant yammering about their “values” was so much hot air. The 2016 primaries for their Party’s Presidential nominee has now removed all doubt for anyone with an IQ over two digits. The staunch “God and Country” set has chosen to throw both under the bus to support a racist, bigoted, bloviating ignoramus for the leader of the free world. For example:

Phyllis Schlaflyschlafly hypo, the Right Wing’s so-called “leader of the pro-family movement” has endorsed thrice married, serial adulterer Donald Trump for President, and by extension, his soft porn posing wife for First Lady. How did Trump win her over; why his promise to get rid of Mexicans and Muslims, of course.

Lindsey Grahamgraham hypo once said the choice between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump was, “…like being shot or poisoned, what does it really matter?” He even exhibited a nano-second of backbone when he declared on May 6th that he wouldn’t vote for GOP nominee Donald Trump. By May 23rd however, he was falling in line, calling on party donors to support Trump.

perryhypoRick Perry, Mr. Prayer Rally, once referred to Donald Trump as a “cancer on conservatism“, and lamented that Trump was: “A man too arrogant, too self-absorbed, to seek God’s forgiveness.” When Perry dropped out of the 2016 race he said of Trump: “The conservative movement has always been about principles… Our nominee should embody those principles.”

But, oh how quickly those “principles” are jettisoned when the words “Vice President” are dangled in front of you. Perry told CNN’s Dana Bash:

ryanhypoThen there’s Paul Ryan, perhaps the biggest political hypocrite of them all. Ryan has been beating around the endorsement bush for months. In response to Trump’s failure to denounce David Duke’s endorsement in March, Ryan said:

ryan quote

Go ahead, laugh; I’ll wait. Trump of course, responded ever-so-Presidentially by threatening Ryan:

At the beginning of May, Ryan claimed he was “just not ready” to support Trump the nominee. That led to Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus setting up a meeting to convince them to make nice with each other. It worked, and in typical Conservative fashion, Ryan flushed what few principles he had down the Trump toilet. In an op-ed for Wisconsin’s Janesville Gazette, Ryan endorsed Trump:

Many so-called “Religious Leaders” are backing Trump as well:

jeffresshypoDallas mega-church Pastor Robert Jeffress, who once declaredevery true, born-again follower of Christ ought to embrace a Christian over a non-Christian”, now says in support of Trump:

Every Christian has the right to his own opinion about a presidential candidate, but no Christian has the right to impose his preference as a litmus test for someone else’s Christianity or spirituality.”

Damn right. That litmus test is reserved for Gays, Muslims, Women, Immigrants, and Black Presidents.

lanehypoDavid Lane, leader of  American Renewal, supports Trump. In a possible attempt to out-crazy his fellow hypocrites, Lane suggests thrice married, serial adulterer Newt Gingrich, join his thrice married serial adulterer Presidential pick Donald Trump on the ticket. Of course, Gingrich would jump at the chance to be relevant again; but I’m sure he’s carefully considering the idea.

newtvp
By the way, Lane also believes:

“… Donald Trump can be one of the  top four presidents in American history.”

Here’s a look at some other “Christian” Conservatives throwing their religion under the bus in pursuit of political power:

Jeremiah Johnsonjohnsonquote, of Behold the Man Ministries prophesied that Trump shall be God’s “trumpet to the American people.” (Christian Post, August 2015)

Franklin Grahamgraham: “He’s shaking up the Republican Party and the political process overall. And it needs shaking up.”

Jerry Falwell, Jr.junior called Trump “one of the greatest visionaries of our time.”

David Brodybrody: “… If establishment GOP leaders want to blame anyone for Trump’s rise, they should start with a good look in the mirror… they took evangelical voters for granted. They felt confident that evangelicals would blindly vote for a traditional-values candidate.”

Christian voters won’t be bullied into voting for Christian candidates, so take that Jesus!

Let’s be honest here, Christian Conservatives have been offered a smorgasbord of Evangelical candidates in past elections: Bachmann, Santorum, Huckabee to name a few, but they don’t vote for them. Truth is, Christianity and “values” are not nearly as important to Conservatives as political power and the desire to shove their unwanted policies down Americans’ throats.

Choosing Donald Trump as their nominee proves they have no values at all.

RW Phony Christians React To PP Shooting

As All Things Democrat’s Doug Marquardt wrote yesterday,Planned Parenthood Terrorist Was A Conservative, Anti-Abortion Nut – End Of Story. If only the crazy stopped there; but the Right Wing reaction on Twitter shows how many unstable, uninformed, willfully ignorant people align themselves with Conservatism. Here are a few “Christian” tweets, mixed with a little irony:

In case you can’t read it, this guy’s avatar says: “Love Thy Neighbor. Period.”

This avatar is a Black person in front of a rebel flag.

There’s the “Black people get all the abortions” myth again, but I’ll come to that later.

PP-Twitter4-620x254

The insanity raged at the usual RW Crazy hot spots like Breitbart, among others; but “Lifesite” had some of the most interesting/callous comments:

Lifesite comments

Yes, PP has just been hoping and praying for a shooter so they could get sympathy. Idiot. How ironic that a RW’er, who’s political party’s entire philosophy is predicated on dishonesty, would utter the phrase: “Tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.” It is precisely the lies told by the right, and Carly Fiorins in particular, that led to this shooting.

James O’Keefe wannabe, David Daleiden, the person responsible for the bogus Planned Parenthood video, had to admit on CNN that an image purportedly showing an aborted baby was actually a miscarriage. As If You Only News wrote:

Daleiden knowingly used a mother’s personal pictures of her miscarried son, which he stole from her by using them without permission, to misrepresent an aborted late-term, living fetus being prepared to have its organs harvested. Then, when pressed on it he excused his lying and theft by generally saying “Well it sorta looks like what an abortion could be.”

Well, as long as it “sorta looks like” what something “could be”, I’m sold; how about you? Now to the ridiculous and bogus “Black Babies” statements. Here are some FACTS to know, via NPR:

[Margaret] Sanger’s birth control movement did have support in black neighborhoods, beginning in the ’20s when there were leagues in Harlem started by African-Americans. Sanger also worked closely with NAACP founder W.E.B. DuBois on a “Negro Project,” which she viewed as a way to get safe contraception to African-Americans.

In 2014, the Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive health research center, surveyed all known abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood clinics, in the U.S. (nearly 2,000) and found that 60 percent are in majority-white neighborhoods.

Margaret Sanger certainly had some questionable views, and in some ways was a detestable human being; but her opinions like many others’, were borne of the ignorance of the times. That’s not an excuse, it’s a fact. One thing she was right about:

image sanger

“No woman can call herself free who does not own and control her body. No woman can call herself free until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother.”

That is true regardless of race, nationality, or ethnicity. Now here’s a tidbit you won’t hear RW’ers echoing; Charisma News reports (as many might have guessed): 70 Percent of Women Who Have Had Abortions Call Themselves Christians. They write:

Fear of gossip and judgmental reactions routinely prevents churchgoing women who are considering an abortion from first seeking the counsel of pastors or others in their church, according to a new survey by an evangelical polling group.

The survey was conducted by LifeWay Research, associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, and sponsored by the Care Net network of anti-abortion pregnancy centers.

The survey found that seven in 10 women who had an abortion identified themselves as Christian. Breaking that down, Catholic women represented 27 percent; Protestant, 26 percent; and nondenominational, 15 percent. Among Protestants, the top three denominations represented among women who had abortions were Baptist (33 percent), Episcopal (6 percent), Church of Christ (4 percent).

It’s hardly a surprise that religious doctrines of “submit to your husband“, coupled with the determination of conservatives to provide no, or incorrect sex education, is a recipe for disaster. Maybe if religion practiced a little more “Judge not lest ye be judged”, and a little less “Let’s stone her”, we would have far fewer abortions.

One final point for sex ignorant RW’ers:
