Dear Franklin Graham

To Franklin Graham, failed Christian:

graham quote

Donald Trump is an ignorant, adulterous, conniving, arrogant, unapologetic, racist, bigoted, self-important, despicable human being. He is EVERYTHING God decried.

YOU SIR, SHIT ON EVERY BASIC TENET OF CHRISTIANITY WHEN YOU IMPLY GOD HAD A HAND IN ELECTING THIS SOCIOPATH.

MAY YOU BURN IN HELL ALONG WITH TRUMP.

Michele Bachmann, You’re an Idiot

Michele Bachmann, the woman God pranked by telling her to run for President, sees the hand of God in Donald Trump’s election. Right Wing Watch reports:

lunatic-bachmann Bachmann said that during and prior to the election, prayer warriors were spread all across the country and tasked with offering up “very specific” prayers “for specific states, for specific counties, for specific percentages in cities that we needed to have” and God delivered.

“We saw the Lord answer so specifically that only the hand of God could do that,” she said. “Let’s pray and join and ask the Lord that godly believers would be put in these key sensitive positions. People that the Lord will use for blessing for the United States and for the world. This was the number one story of 2016: God answering the prayers of his people.”

Think about that: “God’s hand” was “punishing us” when he put a true Christian in the White House, not once, BUT TWICE, who saved the economy, got people back to work, used diplomacy before weapons, and governed FOR ALL of the American people. Then when IDIOTS elect a serial adulterer/sexual predator/racist/bigot/misogynist/fraud/tax cheat/small-handed-whiny-boy, who calls the sacrament “his little cracker”, THAT’S God answering their prayers.

You’re an IDIOT, Bachmann. It is you and your fellow Phony-Christian/Right-Wing-Nut-Job pals that are driving people away from organized religion. You wouldn’t recognize the hand of God if he punched you in the face with it.

Pastor Steven Anderson’s Phony Christianity

Pastor Steven Anderson is a good example of why folks are leaving Christianity. As the Pew Research Center reports:

map pew studyThe Christian share of the U.S. population is declining, while the number of U.S. adults who do not identify with any organized religion is growing…

Moreover, these changes are taking place across the religious landscape, affecting all regions of the country and many demographic groups.

The Right’s Phony Christians lay blame for all of society’s ills on folks turning away from the Bible. But it has nothing to do with turning away from the Bible, or my personal favorite: “Removing prayer from schools”. What’s causing people to leave Christianity is the abundance of fringe “religious” mouthpieces who have taken center stage in recent years, folks like  “Pastor” Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Arizona:

steven andersonMr. Anderson is a prime example of the hateful, vile, despicable people who have come to represent the Far Right’s version of “Christianity”.

This “Pastor” has made statements like:

“…if you executed the homos, like God recommends, you wouldn’t have all this AIDS running rampant…”

Of Bruce Jenner: “I have no love for this Bruce freak. I hope he dies today, I hope he dies and goes to Hell…”

nunOf President Obama: “I hope that God strikes Barack Obama with brain cancer so he can die like Ted Kennedy and I hope it happens today.”

Has called Holocaust survivors “paid liars”.

Of women who attend his “church”: “… “let the woman learn in silence with all subjection… when I’m preaching, women should not express their opinion, even if it’s a positive opinion, even if she agrees with me.”

“Pastor” Steven Anderson is just one of a group of pseudo-religious folks such as Robertson, Graham, Fischer, Barton, Rios, and Perkins among others, whose vile rhetoric has been documented by Right Wing Watch.

The fact is, Christianity will continue to see its numbers decline when the only “Christians” in the news are those who have failed miserably at it.

Satanic Symbol in School Bus Tail lights

Move over Thomas the Train, Here Comes Satan the School Bus.

Sooo, this was on the local news in my ass-backwards state of Tennessee recently, courtesy of Fox:

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) –

Satanic-school-busAt least one Mid-South parent is concerned about what she says is a satanic symbol on a school bus.

Robyn Wilkins snapped a photo when she noticed the shape of an upside down, five-pointed star outlined in the brake lights of a school bus that was stopped in Cordova.

“Anyone who fears a God, if not God and Jesus Christ, should be outraged,” Wilkins said.

She says Christians should be outraged that a symbol that looks like a pentagram would be allowed in the design of a vehicle used to transport children to public schools.

“If you can’t put a cross on there, you cannot put a pentagram on it,” Wilkins said.

So five pointed stars are the work of the devil?… OH MY GOD! That means our American flag was created by Betsy Satan Ross!

u.s.flag

Was it actually Satan who fathered the baby Jesus? Are Clergy in cahoots with him?

Satan is said to be everywhere, but he seems to have a particular thing for automobiles. Here he’s advertising the occult with the letters OC:

LEDHaloTail charger

Here he’s saying “This way to Satan Land.”

Sometimes he polks his head out of the trunk to see what’s going on:

And like most of us, Satan can’t draw a pentagram to save his life when he’s drunk:

Honestly people, it is downright pathetic when someone like ME has to school “believers” in religious symbolism. Let’s start with the five pointed star, courtesy of Religion Facts:

What is the meaning of the 5-point star in Christianity?fivpstar

Like the four-pointed star, the five-pointed star symbol in Christianity is also known as the Star of Bethlehem and represents Jesus’ birth and incarnation. Also known as the Epiphany Star, it is used especially for church decoration during the Advent and Christmas seasons.

pentagramThe Pentagram on the other hand, according to Pagan’s Path, is (my emphasis):

A five pointed star, encased by an outer circle. Adopted by the first pagan practioners, it is always seen with it’s apex pointing upward toward the Divine.

Early Christians attributed the pentagram to the Five Wounds of Christ and from then until medieval times, it was a lesser-used Christian symbol. Prior to the time of the Inquisition, there were no ‘evil’ associations to the pentagram.

baphomet_in_curves_by_yukito85-d4qlcmtNow for that Satanic pentagram:

The inverted pentacle with a goat’s head is called the Sigil (or Sigl) of Baphomet. Notice a couple of things there? Inverted and Goat’s Head; I didn’t see a goat’s head in the satanic bus taillights, did you? According to Christian Restoration, this is the sign “used by satanists and considered a demonic deity symbolic of the devil.”

Llewellyn offers a little rationality for us:

The truth is that a graphic symbol, such as a pentagram, is nothing more than lines. It’s what we put into it that matters. If you adopt it to represent evil, then for you—and for those who agree with you—it’s evil. If you think it’s positive and put positive values into a symbol, then it’s positive.

They point to the Congressional Medal of Honor as one example:

medal_of_honor

So Lady please, next time the vehicle in front of you starts looking demonic, hit the gas and aim the car at a psychiatrist’s office. In the meantime, let’s stop being stupid about trivial nonsense and worry about more important stuff, like that satanic elephant thing.
