Trump Voters’ Minds
Everyday across the country, in their parents’ basements, thousands of Trump voters type furiously away at their computers. In rooms likely plastered with tin foil, they participate in threads that are stupefying displays of ignorance. And hypocrisy. And denial.
Their gushing, over-the-top fervor for all things Trump is both comical and sad. They hate Liberals, Obama, Democrats, and even some Republicans. They mock others for not knowing what they know, which is, well… nothing really.
The Threads of Ignorance
Take these thread posts at Free Republic, regarding Trump’s new helipad at Mar-a-Lago:
“I don’t mind Trump has meetings and golfs there, because he is working and meeting and golfing with various officials.
Obama would golf with his pals…”
So it’s no longer about how often the President plays golf, now it’s about who he golfs with. Gotcha. Only, Japanese PM Shinzo Abe is the only leader he’s golfed with since the election. He has played with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Clear Sports CEO Garry Singer, former Yankee Paul O’Neill, Ernie Els, and Lexi Thompson. What happened to “I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf”?
“Our solution-minded president solving another issue.”
Yes, an issue of personal convenience.
“We are paying for this. Obama is still riding around in Secret Service SUVs and who knows what else he’s still using.”
Someone needs to tell Einstein about The Former Presidents Act (FPA; 3 U.S.C. § 102)
“Has Trump taken off one full day yet?”
“I hope so. Too much work and no downtime isn’t healthy.”
Unless you’re Barack Obama I guess. Has Trump taken one full day off? You mean the Trump who thinks being President is a Monday through Friday job?
Trump’s Great Sacrifices
At the site “Liberty Writers“, a headline screams: “URGENT: Donald Trump Just Sacrificed Something UNBELIEVABLE For Our Country!”
What did he sacrifice, according them?
Donald Trump revealed today that since winning the office of President he has sacrificed BILLIONS of dollars for his country!!
Trump told Chris Wallace that in the last week alone he gave up over one billion dollars in business deals from power players trying to buy in before he takes office.
Now that right there is pretty admirable. Donald Trump, America’s celebrity billionaire, cares so much about this country that he said to Hell with the money to keep us safe.
This guy is great. He really does love our country. Let’s return that love and post this message all over Facebook for the world to see!!
Nauseating. Either Trump voters don’t know, or don’t care that Trump funneled $12.8 million in campaign funds to his relatives and properties.
As for “giving up billions of dollars”, he has so far failed to prove he is divested from his businesses. At the same time, as Medium points out:
When Trump stays at Mar-a-Lago, Secret Service and other staff members need to be very close by. This means that they will be staying at the high-end resort too. Since they are not staying there for free— they will be paying full rate — Mar-a-Lago is collecting a substantial windfall every time the president takes a vacation there.
If Trump goes anywhere in the world and stays at his properties — and remember, he brags about owning premier properties worldwide — Secret Service and staff will be forced to stay there as well. That will enable Donald Trump to profit even more.
Trump’s Miraculous Month
Then there was this thread, about a post written by “The dumbest man on the internet”, Jim Hoft: “Amazing! Trump Cuts US Debt By $12 Billion In His First Month“. First comment out of the gate:
“The next time I hear msm and the liberal communist whining about the cost of security for POTUS and his family. I’ll just tell them when he spends what he saved his first month in office, then you can cry, But until then STHU.“
I’m not sure which is worse: That Trump voters STILL don’t know the difference between Communism and Socialism, or that they have no idea that their savior is actually in bed with Communists.
About that $12 Billion BS: Dan Mitchell, a libertarian economist and senior fellow at the Cato Institute, told Politifact:
“Considering that Trump hasn’t enacted any fiscal legislation, it’s a bit of a stretch for him to take credit for any changes in debt levels.”
“Debt levels go up and down in the short run based on independent factors such as quarterly tax payments and predetermined expenditure patterns.”
This next yuck yuck just can’t see the irony…
“What can one man, without a cabinet in place, do? I would say he’s doing what he can without help from anyone—including our Congress.”
Wonder why they didn’t feel that way about… aw, nevermind.
